Little Liberia is a women-owned, immigrant-owned Liberian restaurant located on Detroit’s E. Warren Corridor. Founded by Chef Ameneh Marhaba, the business began as a pop-up in 2016 and is now a brick-and-mortar location. Little Liberia offers culturally grounded Liberian cuisine rooted in African traditions, alongside a welcoming space for education, gathering, and community connection. Little Liberia exists to honor and share the culture, cuisine, and values of Liberia through food, education, and community. Rooted in women and immigrant leadership, we celebrate African heritage with integrity and accessibility. We are a welcoming space where guests can learn, explore, and connect—one meal at a time.
Little Liberia is located at 16530 E. Warren Avenue in Detroit’s East English Village neighborhood, along the East Warren Corridor . We primarily serve residents of Detroit’s east side, including East English Village, Morningside, Jefferson Chalmers, and surrounding neighborhoods.
The majority of our customers come from the greater Detroit area, including nearby communities such as Grosse Pointe, Midtown, Downtown Detroit, and other metro Detroit neighborhoods. As one of the only Liberian restaurants in Michigan, we also attract customers from across Southeast Michigan who travel specifically to experience Liberian cuisine.
In addition to dine-in service, Little Liberia serves a broader regional audience through catering, pop-ups, and special events. These services extend our reach throughout Metro Detroit, allowing us to bring Liberian cuisine directly to workplaces, private events, and community gatherings.
At this time, delivery and online ordering is available through our website. Catering is also available through our website.
